Bielsk Jewish Males (1855)

Jewish Males – Chrabolowski (1855)

This is an extract from a list of Bielsk Podlaski Jewish males that was prepared in part to help locate recruits for military service. The columns of ages relate back to the 1834 and 1850 Revision Lists (censuses).

The document states that Josel, son of Boruch Chrabolowski had three sons:  Boruch, Sender and (Eli) Yankel. The younger Boruch had a son named Benjamin.

The last two entries reflect two men deceased by 1850:  Josel, son of Mendel (not the same Josel shown above) and Abram, son of Leib. Based on these entries and corroborating information in the 1816-17 Revision Lists, Josel and Abram are also relatives who are depicted in more detail on the Chrabolowski Overview Family Tree.
